celexa I've been on Celexa for over a year now. The most noticeable side effect has been
significant weight gain (about 15-20 pounds). My doctor started me on Celexa
after I had been going through numerous medical tests and I was getting depressed.
I went off of it on my own for a time, but resumed taking it after my father passed away.
I am currently on it now. Besides the weight gain and losing interest in sex... I wonder if
that is worth it sometimes.

Totally pleased I have taken this med for over a year - and have been totally pleased with the outcome.

good in the beginning worked quite quickly, began taking during pregnancy. No side effects. 3-4 weeks after giving birth they seemed not to work any more. I percevered for several weeks until the depression and anxiety became unbearable and then i switched to lofepramine.

I've been taking the drug for almost a year now and I could not be happier. I haven't felt this good and so much like my old self in years. Celexa gave me "ME" back. I experienced very minimal side effects which were completely gone within a month. I wish I would have started the drug much sooner.

Worked Wonders I was on Paxil for about 18 months, I gained 20 pounds and the sexual dysfunction was terrible!!
As soon as I switched to Celexa, things were fine. Soon after I had another bout of depression and 150 mgs of Wellbutrin were added, and it has been very effective for one year now. I also LOST the 20 pounds, and I feel great!

I feel a positive energy and more amition with Celexa. I am a waitress of all things and felt extreme anxiety you know the kind of anxiety when your chest caves in right when approaching a customer. It became very difficult to hide my anxiety so I made that trip to the doctor. I haven't gained any weight and feel more desire to get out. Even joined the gym. But you have to make a decision to NOT be lazy. Get up and go! Thats when I start to feel the greatness of Celexa and my body. The energy comes. Celexa works with my body so when I move it moves with me. You'll understand. With anti-depressants there's a kind of pace that you follow. Its not the drug alone. Its you. And you can do this with the help of Celexa!

helped by caused mania I went to a shrink in late 1999 who prescribed Celexa thinking I had only depression. In Feb of 2000, I had a really bad manic phase. (I later learned that antidepressant meds can do this.) I called his office and his phone mailbox was full for days. I could not get thru. It was scary; I felt abandoned.

My depression issues seemed to always show up while trying to fall asleep. One of the side effects of this drug is to get sleeply wish is wonderful for me. I just take it before I go to bed and I'm out like a light. PLUS out of all the drugs they had me try before making sure the one that was right for me this is the ONLY drug I didn't gain weight on. I seemed to loose weight since it makes you want to drink more water. Yes it does have some side effect that I listed but they are great size effects. I am now getting more sleep and now that I'm drinking more water I feel heathlier with 15 lbs less to deal with! Oh and one more thing. This drug is $3 at WalMart with or without insurance

Celexa works Is anyone else on 60 mg? I was on 40 mg but I was still depressed. Despite side effects, I definitely feel better than I felt before I was on medicine. If you are looking for a medicine, try celexa. I did not gain weight, actually lost weight. I hope the 60 mg works.
