I have sufered from this fungal for most of my life i thouth I will die with it until a doctor prescribe diflucan 200 mg tablets once a week for 6 months, to my amase after just a few weeks I start noticing my toenail were cleaner and cleaner, and after a few months all my toenails were clear and normal.

It is nor a permanent solution the fungal come back after 7 years why no idea, but for some one like me that live with this condition most of my life 7 years was great, I'm re starting the dosage again I hope it work again.

Diflucan knocks down a yeast infection! Being susceptible to yeast infections; I get one from a couple of days use of Flonase (steroid) for my sinuses or the moistness of surgical dressings from a urological procedure etc. Diflucan is the only treatment I have found that works for me. Topical azoles or Nystatin; nutritional supplements have no effect - but I have found that a dilution of vinegar as a wash helps a lot to reduce symptoms if wiped on twice a day. I dilute about 1 vinegar 3% to 3 H2O. I'm male and I get both Intrigo and Balanitus.

Relief at last My thrush has been ongoing for at least 10 years. It started almost right after I started taking prednisone for allergic reactions to the Lupus medications I was taking. My doctor at first did not want anything systemic so I was using the tablets (they look like a Necco wafer) several times a day. Not only did it not work...but they are just simply terrible. They left a funny taste in my mouth and I could never remember to take all the doses.
One dose used to do the trick. I have modified my diet and that does help somewhat, but raising the prednisone dosage just sends back to square one. Diflucan works fast and within 24 hours, my tongue no longer is red or burning. My thrush is only the beginning..I find that the yeast infections are all over, with the worst being the underarms. Diflucan has eliminated the yeast from my entire body and given me rest from all the itching, burning from the yeast flare up. I watch all that I can and have not used it for over a year. I still have a prescription on hand tho...for whenever I need it. Three doses, once a day and thrush is gone away.
I have never had side effects from this medicine.
Only bad thing is the price. It is worth it to me to pay for it and get fast relief

Hard To control I am now in my third week of yeast overgrowth and although Diflucan has helped it has not solved the problem.
