Dr says I need this pill. Need potasium pill with it; need to keep check on daily weight gain/loss daily. Have COPD and CHF. There has to be a better way. Now I need to watch for muscle cramps as well.

I have been on this treatment for 3 weeks; it is working, but not to the degree that I believe it should be. I also have to take potassium along with it.

My Dr. prescribed 20mg. but take only a half at a time. My ankles swelled every day while sitting. I have a heart condition so when they swelled it was concerning. I have taken it for 12 days. swelling is controlled but nasuea, dizzy, feel like I have the flu. I started potassium 90mg last night. Not right yet but I am trying to get a handle on this an feel better. webmd posts help alot. Thanks.

I have been taking Furosemide oral for almost two years, with no side effects.

Had severe ankle and overall body swelling. Prescription was to take 3 times per week, M-W-F. It worked with the very first pill. I do notice occasional dizziness and low blood pressure. I had two knee and one hip replacement in 11 months that I attribute for the poor body fluid balance. Doctor never confirmed my supposition.

I started on 20mg once a day for swelling in lower legs and feet. After a month, no relief. I increased to 40mg and noticed a marked decrease in swelling within 2 days. Been at it for 7 weeks, and still good.
