I have used Pulmucort flexhaler for about 3 years and it works for me. Find I don't need to use the inhaler anymore unless I am sick with cough.
My seven year old son has begun using this as opposed to the pulmicort respules with the nebulizer. He loves it. It's easy and much quicker than the nebulizer! And, his breating has never been better.
Worked immediately after the first nebulizer treatment. After 3 years of continuous shortness of breath + constant migraines + I can finally breath normal. It took 4 pulmonogist to figure my diagnosis out...but - I feel normal again!!!
My 7 year old son has been taking this medication for over a year with great success apart from nosebleeds and nasal stuffiness. He has been taken off this medication recently and immediately began having sleep problems. He began getting scared at bed time and crying for long periods of time in bed. He complains of feeling sad and tired in bed, and of not having enough sleep for his daily activities. He has never been fearful of bedtime in his life. I hope that with more time off the drug his sleep will return to normal.
This is the best asthma medication I have ever used. It doesn't leave a nasty taste in your mouth and I haven't used my rescue inhaler in almost a year. I have experienced no side effects. I have even taken up running, something that always caused an asthma attack when I was a kid.
taking this medication for occasional flareups of my asthma which seem to be pretty bad as of recent. much more effective than albuterol treatments. ive noticed my appetite has increased significantly no weight gain but then again i work out fairly regularly. im also experiencing random joint pain. (ankle and shoulder) the fatigue is pretty annoying. even with these side effects i will pick pumicort over albuterol any day. it effectively relieves chest tightness and bronchospasms way better than any other treatment ive tried.
I have two children that are on this medication, I have been happy with it. It has been concerning to me that my older son has been on it since he was six months old and he has always been an active child, but He is hasn’t be able to control his weight or lose any. Now he six years old and around 106 to 110 pounds, He also is aggressive and unable to sleep or wake up in the morning.
My 2 year old daughter has been taking pulmicort through a nebulizer for 6 months now. She is really aggressive and it really hasn't kept her out of the doctors office. She still gets asthma flare ups and has to go on prednisone it seems like every month.
my daughter keeps complaining of a headache (at the age of 31/2) which is a side effect per my pediatrician
Has anyone experienced weight gain with Pulmicort? My son is very active and eats like a normal 12 yr old, but he continues to gain weight, especially around the middle. I hve found that weight gain is a side affect. He is fatigued and has a really stuffy/runny nose all of the time.
