Singulair in combination with Verapamil My neurologist had me on high doses of Verapamil to attempt to control cluster headaches that would attack and settle in to a migraine that would last from 8 hours to 5 days. The Verapmil reduced the attacks by about 50% (down to 3-4 a month). However the side-effects of the high dose verapamil were problematic. Then the doctor cut my verapamil dose to 240mg daily and added 20 mg of singulair daily. After about three weeks I notice significant improvement. My clusters attacks were down to fewer than 1 a month. After about 6 months, my singulair dose was reduced to 10mg. So far, so good. In a few months, I will be going on a verapamil holiday to test the effectiveness of singulair alone.

Really helped the lungs. I was in the middle of a severe allergy attack to grasses and came on this web site. I called the doctor and requested Singulair and Astilin. I was really having a hard time feeling that my lungs just werent getting the air. He gave me some samples of singulair and I felt much better about three hours later and have been better since as long as I stay on it. I started with a 10mg dose and went to a 5mg dose. I am a women and only weigh about 118 so I always try to take the smallest effective dose. So far 5mg has worked. My insurance Covnetry is terrible and is making me go through hoops to get this so cost is high until I can get it but hte breathing is so much better.

not great didn''t like it after on it for awhile. I had insomnia alot, felt like I was actually having more wheezing
attacks when i was on it. I had some memory problems some
confusion and felt not right on it. allergies got alittle better but i didn't
want the side effects anymore. I mainly took it for my allergies.

Finally something for my food allergies I am highly allergic to airborne allergens and find relief with a combination of Claritin, Nasalcort spray and allergy shots, but for twenty years I had suffered from sinus problems resulting from the consumption of corn and wheat. Whenever I ate these products in more than very small quantities, my sinuses would fill and within 6-8 hours I would develop a bad post-nasal drip, cold symptoms that lasted over a week, and often a sinus infection. Of course corn and wheat are very hard to avoid, and I suffered this way for many years.

Finally last year my allergist prescribed Singulair. I discovered that when my symptoms start, I can simply take one pill and they cease quickly. No cold symptoms or sinus infection follow as they once did so predictably. I still avoid corn and wheat, but am less worried about an occasional slip. Singulair has dramatically improved my quality of life.

Wonderful I have been taking Singulair for 3 years now. I work in an office with the Executives up a small flight of stairs, 5 to be exact. I am the only assistant to 3 of them, so you can imagine how often I climb those stairs. I started taking it after I was hospitalized for pheumonia. Three weeks later I didn't feel any different, but about half way thru my day I noticed I wasn't wheezing, and so did my bosses. We were all elated! I mean to breath normally, I had never experienced it before. I remember saying to them, "Wow! I can't believe it! This is what it feels like to have air in your lungs? This is phenominal!". Now I take both Singulair and Advair and the change has again been wonderful. I can take deeper, longer breaths with out the inhaler in my hand. I'm free!

Love Singulair It really works!!!! I love this pill. My asthma was really bad. I would have several big attacks in a week! I was hospitalized a few times and given steroids. Since I've been on it (for 7 months now I have only had 3 major attacks that I was able to control with my inhaler and nebulizer. It's awesome!!!
