Vitamin C When I'm coming down with a cold, I take a lot of Vitamin C. I believe with Echinaccea it helps. One winter I had flu that was unending. A friend brought me a roll of Vitamin C and within 24 hours the asthma was getting better. I was about to put myself in the hospital when this happened. I remember the phone ringing and I thought to myself, "If I can't get across the floor to answer the phone, then I'm going to the ER". Well, I walked gingerly across the floor, answered the phone, and it was my dad asking how I was. I was able to tell him I had walked to the phone without an asthma attack. (It was THAT bad). That was the beginning of the change from sickness to getting better. I believe it was the Vitamin C.
good, along with other vitamin/mineral treatment This works along with other vitamin/mineral treatment as well as 150mg Effexor XR daily.
Useful to support antibiotic therapy I take this along with B vits in a regime with antibiotics. I'm sure most of it goes straight through me as excess but I do notice I have more enegery on the days I take it.
It has worked VERY WELL! The selection boxes do not let me show what i really do.
I have doing 50,000 MG IV once a week and take 10,000 MG orally daily.

I have not had a MS attack nor have I gotten sick! Having MS and getting sick can be a bad thing. I can't say that my MS has improved, but it has'nt gotten worse.
Vitamin C Allergy Yes, one can be allergic to Vitamin C. Most of it is made from Corn. I tried all the other sources like sago palm and rose hips, but finally discovered my favorite brand makes an artificial mineral ascorbate form. Twin Labs Super-Ascorbate is the only form I can tolerate.
The famous biochemist Steven Levine knew in the 1980's about the allergy problem with Vitamin C, so he makes Nutricology (=Allergy Research Group) Multi-Vi-Min pill in an option *without* Vitamin C. Thinking back I probably began taking this 20 years ago, about the time I was *diagnosed* with Bipolar II! His brand than and *now* contains Vanadium! Did his zealousness in providing trace minerals cause my Bipolar to emerge? The blurb above by Brett says that we bipolars have too much vanadium.
So taking all the Vitamin C daily perhaps offsets the damage I do by taking the multi-vitamin-mineral?
Maybe my Bipolar symptoms emerged at their worst in those years when all the Vit C forms I was trying were giving me headaches, so I was taking rather little of it.
Where am I going to find a multi I can tolerate?
Great Antihistamine My herbalist suggested taking this as a natural antihistamine during pollen season, and in winter as a immune booster. If I feel a little itchy around the eyes I take 500 mg more at a time and alternate between chewables, tablets, capsules and powder. It is wonderful. I was able to go without the preemptive shots and for the first time in years am not sneezing my way through spring!
